About the role
We have an excellent opportunity for a lay or ordained person to support and resource the Uniting Church Chaplaincy Program. This is a fixed term (3-year project) part-time 2.5 days a week.
The Chaplaincy Development Officer will play a key role in nurturing the Uniting Church’s chaplaincy program and raising the profile of chaplaincy ministry across the life of the Synod.
This role will partner with congregations to establish chaplaincy communities, deepen existing and develop new relationships to explore emerging contexts for ministry.
Utilizing your well-developed relationship building skills, you will strengthen and establish partnerships with community, public and private, and ecumenical organisations.
In this role, you will coordinate and promote pathways for training and professional development and provide information and advice and support relevant project working groups.
About you
To secure this role you will have:
- Tertiary theological qualifications
- At least 6 years proven experience in a related role.
- Knowledge of the Uniting Church in Australia, its polity, systems and practices is essential.
